Things I’m Thankful For! Day 28
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. With it being the last day of this challenge I guess it is time to wrap this thing up. So, toady I am thankful for my readers. Thank you all for reading my ramblings. You could be reading other things and you are reading mine. It really means a lot to me.
I started blogging on Xanga back in 2006. Yes, it was that long ago! It was a blog that I had just so I could keep up with my friends after I graduated from high school. I do not know if you can find it anymore or what, but it was for my friends and my writing was really bad. During my third year at University I had a blog for a class and I really did not keep up with it. I am not even sure where it was hosted. I eventually made my way to Blogger or BlogSpot or whatever it is called now on Google. That was back in 2008. The first blog that I had on there is gone. I deleted it because it was filled with sporadic updates and it was more of a journal than of any use to people. Not many people read it and I really did not blame them. I did it more for myself. However, some of my friends did read it and loved it when I put recipes up. So, I just decided to start a recipe blog and FoodWorthCooking on BlogSpot was born. The only things was that I wanted to post more than just things about food. Yes, I like to talk about food because it is something that I know a lot about. I also know a lot about fashion because of my mother’s family background in the fashion industry. So, I started the first incarnation of The New Prussian Review over there to run concurrently with my food blog. It was time consuming though, keeping track of two blogs and making sure that there was something up on a regular basis. I tried to put together a site hosted on the Google Sites page when I started having issues with my blogs that I could not find any help for and no way to really get in contact with the people at Google. So, after getting fed up with it I just moved it all over here last week.
I figured that it would take me longer to get moved over here, but I worked my butt off and here I am. All moved over here and I have not had a single problem and some of my readers from the old site have followed me over here! So thank you! I love you all and am very thankful for you!
It is also the first day of Hanukah! Go play the Dreidel game and win yourself of Chanukah Gelt! Happy Hanukah to all of my Jewish readers!
