Music Monday: “Dance with Me Tonight”- Olly Murs

Wake up ya’ll!  It’s Monday!

So, this weekend was relatively entertaining.  A couple of my friends and I had a shopping day in the city south of where we live.  How is that entertaining?  Well, the clerk at the fabric store got into an argument with me and I won!  Unlike her, I did not have to scream or drop f-bombs all over the place to win.  The other entertaining thing was us dancing at the Starbucks where one of my friends now works.  What song did we dance to?  Olly Murs’ “Dance with Me Tonight” of course!  What other fun poppy dance songs are there that play in Starbucks?  Do not answer that because I really do not know since where we live, there is not a real Starbucks and I have no earthly idea what they play most of the time nowadays.

This song is so ridiculously cute and fun to dance to.  I mean it!  It is almost impossible for me to not dance to it.  My friend that teaches the dance aerobics at the YMCA has a dance to this and since my friends and I take that class, we know the dance to it.  We even got the baristas to dance with us.  It was amazing and hilarious.  Thankfully, there was not anyone else in the store at that time.  I blame my friend for making the baristas dance with us.  In addition to the cuteness of the song there is the video.  Oh Olly. You adorable British man!  Must you be so adorkable with your ridiculous smile and baby face?  He also looks super classy in almost everything he does.  Olly just makes this video.  I cannot imagine anyone else in the video.  Also, he is actually driving a British car!  The steering wheel is on the right side!  In a lot of videos with cars by British artists you do not see that.  What a nice touch.  I would go for a rid in a convertible with Olly.  Especially if he decides to start singing.  Man can he sing!  Despite being a pop artist, he does not sound like every other pop artist in the world.  He has his own sound and I can always tell when he is singing.  to me he sounds like a singer from the 60’s or 70’s.  Just saying!  This song especially.

Well, that is all I have for now.  Until next time!
