Let’s Make Pomegranate Bread

If you follow the YouTube channel they you will notice that a video was posted today that shows you how to make Pomegranate Bread. If you don’t, I recommend you do since there is stuff on there that isn’t on here.  I will post the video at the end for ease of finding.  To make this a bit easier on you all, here is the directions and ingredients all typed up if you would prefer a hard copy in addition to the video.

  • 2 cups of all purpose, unbleached flour
  • 3/4 of a cup of sugar (in the video I use 1/2 cup of regular sugar and 1/4 cup of stevia)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 6 oz of Greek style yogurt
  • 1/2 of a cup of fresh orange juice (you can also use pomegranate juice, but you honestly cannot taste the orange juice in the bread at all)
  • 1/4 of a cup of melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 slightly overflowing cup of pomegranate seeds

  • Heat oven to 350°F
  • Spray the sides and bottom of a large loaf pan
  • Set the pomegranate seeds aside
  • In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients together
  • In a small bowl mix the wet ingredients together
  • Slowly mix the wet ingredients into the bowl of the dry ingredients
  • Very carefully fold in the pomegranate seeds
  • The mixture will be pretty thick compared to other “quick breads”
  • Pour the mixture into the pan
  • Bake for about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Cool about 15 minutes before eating
