Gluten Free Multi-Use Dough
I had a hard time deciding what section to put this recipe in. The reason is that this dough can be used for numerous things. The first things that comes to mind is pie crust and noodles. This recipe is gluten free, but you can use regular flour in it as well. You can use this for making ravioli as well. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
- 1 ¼ cups of rice flour
- ½ cup of butter
- ¼ cup of water
- A pinch of salt
- Mix it together until you can form it into a ball that holds together
- Roll it out
- If you are using it for pudding type pie you bake it at 450ºF for 13 minutes or until golden.
- If you are using it for a non pudding type pie, you bake it at 450ºF for about 20 minutes or until the crust it golden.
- If you are using it for noodles or pasta bases then you make it in the morning and let it set out to dry for the day until you use it in the evening.
This recipe has so many different uses. You can add food colouring to it if you are wanting to make something colourful for a party. You can also add spices to it to give it a different flavour. Overall, it is probably one of the most versatile recipe that I have ever used and it is pretty fail proof. You can also substitute the butter for margarine and have a vegan friendly recipe too! Huzzah!
